Billy Spann is an assistant professor at UALR. He completed his PhD in 2022 under the supervision of Prof. Nitin Agarwal, while serving as a graduate research assistant at the COSMOS Research Center since 2018. After graduation, he continued to work at COSMOS as a postdoctoral fellow. He has an M.S. in Information Science, and B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UALR and an M.B.A. from the UALR College of Business. His research interests include social network analysis, computational social science, behavior modeling of collective action in online networks, and social-cyber forensics.
