If you get this, go to this link: https://blog.workinghardinit.work/2015/10/01/expanding-vhd-or-vdhx-files-that-have-checkpoints-is-considered-harmful/

Run this command: Resize-VHD -Path “C:\ClusterStorage\Volume2\DidierTest06\Virtual Hard Disks\RuinFixedVHD.vhd” -SizeBytes 15GB

Just need to change loction to location of the VHD and the size you want in total

On Ubuntu you just need to install gparted and run it. You should be able to do in while booted into unbuntu.

  • When setting up backups to a remote share, you should use smb for windows
    • Might need to install a package, it will tell you
  • Make sure to flip your / around

I used this article when trying to increas the size of lvm https://manjaro.site/how-to-extend-lvm-disk-on-ubuntu-20-04/ also this post https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/138090/cant-resize-a-partition-using-resize2fs
